Dry Method Carpet Cleaning V.S. Wet Method Carpet Cleaning

We all know that you have many options when it comes to getting your carpets cleaned, but what way is best? This question is asked very frequently and we are going to try and answer this question the best we can.

Before we get started you must familiarize yourself with the objectives of carpet cleaning. This is simply to remove soil from the carpet thereby getting rid of stains and bringing the carpet back to as new as possible.

The wet method of carpet cleaning is designed to dissolve  the soil with solution and then extract the area. When the solution reaches the carpet, it dissolves the soil and is extracted, but much of the liquid that was used to clean the carpet is left behind in the carpet. This is not a good thing at all. If 20 gallons of solution was used to clean the carpet, roughly 6-8 gallons remain in the carpet and take a long while to dry.

The really bad news is that some of what is left behind is actually the soil you were trying to get out in the first place. This is the reason you get those spots that come back. It is because they haven't actually left the carpet. On top of this you have possibly harmful chemical that remain there, as well.

Our dry method involves using a moist powder that has just the right amount of SAFE detergent, solvents, and water. When the powder is put down we use a machine the brushes the powder into the carpet, loosening and dissolving the soil, trapping it within the powder. When the area is clean. A vacuum is used to extract the powder and you are done. No wait for drying and you have a perfectly clean area of carpet.

The added benefits of using this type of carpet cleaning is no carpet color fading, the carpet will be fluffier (from the brushes), no mildew smell from wet carpeting, and no harmful chemicals (the powder is 100% natural and the detergents are extremely safe). So, next time you decide to have your carpets cleaned, try the dry method and see, smell and feel the difference, you will not be disappointed.

This method is also very effective at cleaning tile and grout!
